The year has had an excellent start for the communication and collaborative tools of Hager Group.
The new version of the intranet launched in May 2012, hagernet2.0, was recently ranked among the ten best intranets in the world.

This recognition comes from an authoritative independent research, training and consulting group, the Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g), the principal Dr. Jakob Nielsen participated along with the select committee of experts.
This prestigious distinction, awarded annually since 2001, rewards the work of a cross-disciplinary team of colleagues from various departments and countries. According to Philippe Dennler, project leader and Corporate IT Manager: “the intranet project aims to encourage the development of new ideas, support the internationalisation of Hager Group and simplify employees’ daily work. This is why hagernet2.0 draws some of its inspiration from web 2.0 technologies and why, among other things, it allows real-time construction of networks across international borders for colleagues and projects.”

Nielsen Norman Group made no mistake and these criteria were weighed-up when selecting our intranet: “The designers [of hagernet2.0] opted for clear solutions and optimised the space on the home page, inviting contributors to find out more from their first glance onwards. Moreover, the various sections of the site, including information on colleagues, are easily accessible, allowing employees to work together effectively”, said Jakob Nielsen, Nielsen Norman Group principal and worldwide renowned expert.

The strengths of hagernet2.0 and the story of its genesis are described in the report “Intranet Design Annual 2013: The Year’s 10 Best Intranets” internationally published by Nielsen Norman Group. Hager Group received the NN/g distinction alongside such well-known companies as AT&T and Luzerner Kantonalbank in 2013, joining previous years’ winners such as BASF, Daimler Chrysler, HSBC, Ikea and Wal-Mart.
The company which has built its success on innovation for its customers is now also recognised for its capacity to innovate for its employees.
